· Courses Are Now Offered in Southern and Northern California:
If you are a RDA and have completed a coronal polish course and wish to
utilize an ultrasonic scaler for the removal of
cement from orthodontic bands, enroll today in one of our courses! In order to perform this procedure, you must
complete a minimum of a four hour Dental Board approved ultrasonic scaler
course. Dental Professionals offers a four hour course in this procedure.
· Course Content:
This four hour course includes theory, laboratory and clinical application
of cement removal from orthodontic bands using the ultrasonic scaler. Upon
completion of all the course requirements and you are an RDA, you may perform
this procedure.
· Supplies:
Students are required to provide those supplies that are commonly utilized
during the operation of an ultrasonic scaler during
cement removal. A list of these
supplies will be sent to you upon receipt of your registration.
· Classroom Instruction/Course
Examination:
Four hours will be scheduled for the lecture, laboratory and clinical
application of cement removal from orthodontic bands using the ultrasonic scaler. Students
will practice on banded typodonts and fellow
classmates as part of their practical/clinical examination. You will also complete a written final
examination.
